Community Ministries
New Covenant Baptist Church supports the community in many ways. Here are some of the ways we help our immediate and extended communities on an ongoing basis.
Food Pantry
We collect food and other donations for Enon Emergency Relief (EER), also know as Enon Relief. From their website, "EER has continued to grow and to provide “one-stop” service for emergency relief (food and financial assistance) and referrals to the people of the Greenon Local School District. Now, as then, the organization is staffed entirely by volunteers. Enon UMC provides funding, food, and volunteer support. EER relies on the local community for donations and food needed to provide emergency assistance. Food is mainly provided from food drives sponsored by the Enon Post Office, local Boy Scout troops, local churches, the school district, and private citizens." For details, see their website at https://enonumc.com/ministries/enon-emergency-relief-eer/
School Supplies
We collect classroom and student school supplies as well as gym clothes for students in the Greenon Local School district. These are provided to the school, which distributes the supplies to children as needed. We collect school supplies, tissue boxes, paper towels, sweat pants, gloves, hats, and more.
